OpenStreetMap 3d: Prototype Released

The first prototype of OpenStreetMap 3d has been released. This integrates OpenStreetMap with SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topopgraphy Mission)  elevation (DEM) data. The initial prototype covers Germany only. Further information in English and German can be found at: http://www.osm-3d.org/

GeoServer 1.7.2 Released

GeoServer have announced the release of GeoServer 1.7.2. Sounds like a minor release, but in reality 1.7.2 adds advanced labelling features (curves,etc);  hatching; HTML image maps; support for DB2; GDAL/OGR; and over 70 bug fixes.
